Hardware Building: Diffuser Test

After installing all the electronic components into the base of the table, I started playing with various materials as diffusers for the screen of the table.

On the left is Rosco Grey, photographic diffusion material and on the right is a regular piece of plastic Mylar paper.

As it turns out the Rosco is repelling the IR light from the illuminators and I am not able to get any finger detection but the Mylar lets the IR through and I am detecting the finger blobs nicely.

Too bad since the Rosco has a nice look to it.
